Update - I'm back - I hope

I've been MIA for most of the year and for multiple reasons, which caused my reading habits to take a nose dive.

First of all, I suffered a minor concussion early in the year. I read and posted one or two posts after that, but my concentration for the first few months after wasn't the same, and I still have issues with my concentration and multi-tasking skills.

My husband and I received some health related news, we already knew this was likely coming, but to have it confirmed was a blow to both of us, I don't want to disclose too much because it's personal, but it's nothing serious, just a life adjustment. In any event, it's had us both down, and my usual go and read a book, hasn't been something I've wanted to do.

Not everything that's happened in my life has been bad news, I've been taking writing courses, and focusing on that when I can. It's a slow process because, the above issues have also been affected, but I've been enjoying the courses and writing pieces - stay tuned for a special announcement coming in early next year.

All in all, the year has been a rough one for me so my desire to read, has been non-existent. I am coming back next year - I doubt I'll be back in the capacity I once was, but I will be back.

I hope everyone had a fantastic year, and holiday season and I hope to see some of you on the blogs, etc. soon.

  2. I'm glad to see you're posting again and I hope your adjustments continue to move in positive directions; life changes are hard, but sometimes turn out to have silver linings that come to light later, which makes them interesting. Hopefully you are settled enough to feel like returning to books again in 2018 but, if it takes longer, the books will always wait - they're good that way!
