24 Hour Read-a-thon Bast Off Post

Time to start the 24 hour read-a-thon! I have my cup of coffee, finally decided on my first book which will be Mister Pip by Lloyd Jones. So I'm ready to go! Good luck to everyone, have fun! And don't forget you can follow me on twitter and facebook as well, where I'll likely have more updates on my progress.

Currently my personal cheerleader is  unavailable. She's decided it's far to early to be up and is napping in the laundry hamper. And there is my selection of books on the right.

About Me - a meme from the read-a-thon website

1)Where are you reading from today?
My Couch, in Brampton Ontario Canada
2)Three random facts about me…

- I love Stargate the TV Series
- I recently joined the Dark side and bought an e-reader
- My cat is named after a harry potter character
3)How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours?

22 - I like selection
4)Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)?

To read at least 4 books
5)If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, any advice for people doing this for the first time?

Enjoy and have fun.

  4. E-readers are great (I have one too) but nothing replaces an actual book in your hands. Happy reading!

    Chris - Thanks

LBC - Yeah, I had a huge pile, so I'd have a lot of variety.

Alexa - I agree 100% I do prefer an actual book, but the ereader has been handy.

Vasilly - It was a pretty good books, a bit graphic and shocking in the end, but a good read.
