Hello and Update

Hi everyone, I'm finally sitting my self down, to do an update. I've been gone for a while (although I've made a few appearences on twitter), but there has been some personal family things going on here, which added a lot of stress on my part, which kept me away from reading and blogging (also was in a reading funk for a while too). I don't want to mention what's been going on here, but things are a little better, but it will be an ongoing problem. If you like, you can email me, and I can talk to you personally about it, but it's not something I'm going to post in this blog, or any of my other blogs.

But GOOD news is I am coming back and I am alive and well. I plan on starting this blog up for Jan. 1 2010 (I may not post on that date, but I plan on starting the reading and my insane attempt at participating in far to many challenges than humanly possible). I am excited about coming back, reading again will help me relief stress, and now that the transit strike is over, I can go back to the libraries again!

Some new important things you should know.

I have a new challenge blog, I'll be deleting the old one. I decided to do this, because I thought it would be easier to start from scratch, then attempt to fix some of the issues I had with the old one, and reorganize it. So here's the link to my new Challenge Blog, where you can watch my progress on all my challenges.

I'm also creating a personal blog, or restarting one once again. I plan on making it private by the end of January perhaps sooner, but if you want to subscribe and read about my life outside of books, you're welcome to, just let me know and I'll do what I need to to make sure you can see it. Finally, I'm debating changing my layout. I love the look of this one, I really do, but I'm thinking of, with my fresh new year, trying a bit of a fresh new look. Also, this one has had a few problems, which I work around, but easier life on my part is always nice. Let me know what you think, and maybe I'll even send a link to show you some of the ones I'm thinking of switching to. Also if you know of any good sites with layouts let me know. Thats it for now!

  1. Hi Jules! I've missed you. :) Sorry to hear things haven't been going well. I won't bother you, but you know I'm here if you ever want to talk, okay?

I'm looking at your personal blog right now - is it meant to be empty at the moment? I'd love to be able to subscribe and stay subscribed to it.

I like your layout - think it's the most beautiful - but I can understand the need to change.

  4. Hi Jules! Thanks for posting about and joining the Vietnam War reading challenge for 2010. Shall I monitor this blog or the challenge blog for your Vietnam War book reviews?

  5. I'm so sorry to hear you are going through tough times right now. We are going through something too, but I don't feel like posting about it either. If ever you need to talk, you know where to find me, and I really hope things get better for you soon. I am also going to be following your personal blog as well. I am glad to have you back though, and look forward to seeing your posts!

  6. Thanks everyone for the welcome back and support!

Serena - This blog will have the reviews for the Vietnam Challenge, so its best to monitor it.

Amanda and Zibilee - leave your email address (or send it to me at dobson.j.m@gmail.com) and I'll add you to the reads list for my personal blog.

This blog will stay open, so don't worry for everyone else, just the personal blog will have a restriction, but book blogger friends are welcome to read it. :)

    Happy New Year Everyone!
