August Wrap Up

Another Month finished, for reading, summer is leaving us and fall is approaching, all to quickly for my liking, the cold is already coming (although it works with having hot chocolate and hot drinks to drink while you read), there will be no more sitting out under a tree and reading! Sigh! This month was alright for me, I do need to read more books each month, in order to finish all my challenges for December. But I'm making good progress and I should have some challenges finished up by the end of September. Yah!

This month I read Eight books. Which isn't bad, so here's a list of the books I read for August, which also is the amount of books I read for my August Reading Challenge.

1) Blackberry Wine by Joanne Harris - 8/10
2) Little Earthquakes by Jennifer Weiner - 7.5/10
3) Xanadu Edited by Jane Yolen - 6/10
4) Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy - 5/10
5) The Stone Diaries by Carol Shields - 7/10
6) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling - 9/10
7) Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See - 9.75/10
8) The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien - 10/10

My favourite book of the month I read were The Hobbit, Harry Potter and the Deahtly Hallows (which were re-reads), and ones I just discovered that were my favourites were; Snow Flower and the Secret Fan and Blackberry Wine.

My least favourite reads of the month were Far From a Madding Crowd.

Okay as for the challenges, I failed one, mainly because I wrote the finish date down wrong! DOH! The month was going to be devoted to the Number Challenge, but when I went to the Challenge page to confirm a rule..... I had the wrong date and it was finished. Opps! I completed 1 challenge this month, which was the August Reading Challenge, which I read 8 books for. And I'm well on my way to finishing at least three challenges for next month, maybe more! Crosses fingures! Here's my challenge Progress

Failed Challenges

Numbers Challenge - 0/5 Books read (I even had all the books check out of the library, or set aside off the shelves! Lesson learned: always double check challenge dates, before challenge starts!)

Completed Challenge:

August Reading Challenge - 8/8 Books read (a challenge anyone can finish, because the challenge was to read as many books as you wanted for August!)

So I am making slow progress through my challenges, although the one I'm hosting may be one I might fail (I'm a horrible host, to much stuff in life to host a challenge, maybe next year I'll be able to do it better!)

Also, I had some personal stuff go on, that I completely forgot that on August the 5th was my first year blogerversary! So Happy Blogerversary to me!
