24 hour read-a-thon

The 24 hour read-a-thon is coming up this Saturday the 18th. It starts 12 noon GMT time or 8 am my time. So I'll have to be up early for a Saturday, but small price to pay. I plan on being equipped with coffee, pop, munchies, blankets and other goodies. While reading all day of course. I finally picked my books I'll read for the day. I probably won't finish all of them, but I picked a bunch, in case I get bored of some and want to read another one. So, here are my list of books.

UPDATE! I was unabled to get smoke and mirrios, and J.D Salingers Short Stories. So Instead I got these two books; Moons of Jupiter (collection of Short Stories) by Alice Munro and Collected Ghost Stories by M.R James. I also may Try Ship Fever by Andrea Barett.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
The Amber Spyglass
The Princess Bride
Tender is the Night
Little Women
Wishsong of Shannara
Moons of Jupiter - Alice Munro
Collected Ghost Stories
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Brigit Jones Diary – The Edge of Reason
Mansfield Park

So I have a bit of variety, but it's always good. All of them, except watermelon and bridget jones are for reading challenges. Watermelon, has just been on my "to read" list for some time, and Bridget Jones Diary - Edge of Reason is a book I have to read for my chick-lit course I'm taking in school. So I'm VERY excited. We'll see how well it plays out, I have a link on the left side toolbar of the blog to the read-a-thon. So make sure you check it out!

  1. I suggest saving Bridget Jones for the late hours, when you need giggle fits to keep you awake. :)

  2. Thanks for the tips. Marian Keyes writes Watermelon, and she is usually a funny writer so I'll have to to "wake" me up when needed.

  3. I'm participating too and I'm so excited. I have to get up at 5 a.m. It sounds like you have a great selection to choose from. Have fun!
